How we collect, use, and protect your data.

Momentum Coaching ("Momentum," "we," "us") provides a coaching platform that helps athletes train with the support of a coach and data-driven readiness insights. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our web app at app.momentumcoaching.app, and our connected services.
Account information. Your name, email address, and the role you hold (athlete, coach, or administrator) so we can give you the right access.
Profile & training information. Details you provide such as your sport, specialties, goals, training plans, messages with your coach, and feedback you submit.
Health & wearable data. If you choose to connect a wearable such as WHOOP, we collect the metrics you authorize, which may include recovery, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, strain, workouts, and basic body measurements. We only access the data permitted by the scopes you grant when you connect.
Technical information. Standard log and device data needed to operate and secure the service.
This website uses strictly necessary cookies to function, including remembering your cookie choices. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies (anonymous usage statistics that help us improve the site) and marketing cookies (to measure whether our campaigns reach the right athletes). We do not use cookies to sell your data. You can accept all, decline all non-essential cookies, or manage categories individually when you first visit, and change your choice anytime via "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Where required by law (including the GDPR), non-essential cookies are not set until you consent.
We use your information to deliver the coaching experience: to connect you with your coach, build and track training plans, calculate your readiness, power MomentumAI insights, send you relevant notifications and emails, and keep the platform secure and reliable. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data for advertising.
When you connect WHOOP, you are redirected to WHOOP to authorize access using OAuth 2.0. We store secure access tokens to sync the data you approved and to keep your metrics up to date. Your WHOOP credentials are never shared with us. You can disconnect at any time from the Health & Vitals page in the app, which revokes our access; previously synced data may be removed on request.
Your training and health data is visible to you and to the coach and administrators assigned to support you. We share data with trusted service providers that help us run the platform (such as our hosting and database provider) under agreements that require them to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
Data is stored with our cloud database provider and protected with access controls and encryption in transit. We restrict access to personal and health data to the people and systems that need it to provide the service.
You can review and update your profile in Settings, disconnect a wearable at any time, and request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to rectification, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Closing your account removes your access and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Momentum Coaching is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Where younger athletes participate, a parent or guardian must consent and oversee the account.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
